The Magic of Tree Twinning

Imagine looking at your Christmas tree this December and knowing it is doing something extraordinary thousands of miles away. While your tree brings warmth to your living room, its "twin" in Kenya is growing food, income, and real hope for a rural family.

When you twin your tree, you don’t just plant a fruit tree; you unlock sustainable farming training, vital school meals for local children and do good for the planet. To tie your two worlds together, we will post you a beautifully crafted, personalised wooden ornament to hang on your branches, along with a story card introducing you to a farmer whose life you have helped transform. It is more than a decoration: it is a festive lifeline

How It Works in 3 Simple Steps

1. Twin Your Tree: Make a simple £25 donation online. Thanks to our generous backers, your donation is doubled at no extra cost, meaning we actually support more families as your £25 gift becomes £50!

2. Receive Your Gift: We will pop a beautiful personalised wooden ornament in the post for your tree, alongside a special card sharing the story of a farmer you are supporting.

3. Watch the Future Grow: Your donation delivers fruit trees, sustainable farming training, and vital support for school meal programmes in Kenya.

Doing Good for the Planet

We all love festive decorations, but Christmas trees have an environmental footprint too, including emissions associated with their manufacture and transport. How that footprint compares with a real tree depends on factors such as how long the artificial tree is reused and how a real tree is disposed of. The British Christmas Tree Growers Association reports a Carbon Trust estimated footprint of around 40 kg COâ‚‚ for a two-metre artificial Christmas tree.

Tree Twinning is a wonderful way to help offset that impact. Fruit trees can capture and store carbon as they grow. By twinning your Christmas tree, you can support fruit-tree planting in Kenya, helping farming families grow food, strengthen their livelihoods and contribute to carbon storage over time.

Our trees are grown in local Kenyan nurseries, and farmers receive support and training to help them care for their trees. Together, we're working towards lasting benefits for families, communities and the environment.
